The short version
Blizzard’s weekly roundup mixes news from several versions of World of Warcraft. For Forever players, the important pieces are the third WoW: Forever podcast episode and the latest class deep dives. The remaining announcements include wider Warcraft promotions and updates, so not every item in the source article applies to Forever.
Dungeon leveling and questing take the microphone
Podcast host Countdown To Classic and guest Hammerdance join senior game designers Josh Greenfield, Jay Hartman and Rowan Ryder for a discussion about dungeon leveling, questing and the shape of the journey. That focus matters because Forever is presenting levels 1–60 as a lasting game rather than a short runway to endgame.
Mage and Shaman move into focus
The class update highlights hybrid possibilities for Mage—including combinations built around Frostfire Bolt—and quality-of-life and build flexibility for Shaman. Blizzard points to easier totem management, longer weapon imbues and broader options across Elemental Combat, Enhancement and Restoration. Exact tuning can still change, but the design direction is clearer: preserve recognisable class identities while opening more viable choices.
The Fellowship take
The most useful signal is not a single ability or ranking. It is that Blizzard is explaining how people will level, group and make class decisions before launch. We recommend treating the deep dives as orientation rather than a finished tier list, then choosing a class whose moment-to-moment play still appeals when balance changes.
