Arrival, services and level planning

Alliance players use Feathermoon Stronghold offshore; Horde players use Camp Mojache. Learn the flight point and account for the Alliance’s extra island travel when planning hand-ins.

Use levels 40–50 as a flexible visiting band. Check each quest’s minimum level, faction and class requirements; dungeon and endgame quests may exceed the outdoor band.

The route through the zone

1. Hub and nearby forest

   Collect the local wildlife and gathering tasks as a batch. Finish a compact loop around your base before travelling toward the far ruins.

2. Ruins and ogre country

   Pair ruins errands with nearby kill objectives. Do not enter elite ogre areas simply because an ordinary outdoor task takes you near them.

3. Long follow-ups

   Combine northbound or coastal stories with your next departure. Save Dire Maul preparation for a later level band, while finishing suitable outdoor quests now.

2. Against the Hatecrest

   Gather ten Hatecrest Naga Scales for Latronicus Moonspear while clearing the Solarsal shore.

3. The Ogres of Feralas

   Clear three types of Gordunni ogre for Rok Orhan at Camp Mojache.

4. Gordunni Cobalt

   Horde · Normal · Quest level 43 · Minimum 38

   Use Orwin’s shovel to gather twelve pieces of Gordunni Cobalt, then return the material and tool to him.

5. The Mark of Quality

   Alliance · Normal · Quest level 46 · Minimum 40

   Collect ten Thick Yeti Hides for Pratt McGrubben and choose his handcrafted boots or gloves.

6. The Mark of Quality

   Horde · Normal · Quest level 46 · Minimum 40

   Bring ten Thick Yeti Hides to Jangdor Swiftstrider for the Horde’s handcrafted reward choice.

7. Rescue OOX-22/FE!

   Both · Event · Quest level 45 · Minimum 40

   Escort OOX-22/FE out of danger, then visit Oglethorpe Obnoticus in Booty Bay for the reward.

Hazards and group preparation

Dense forest obscures wandering enemies; ruins and ogre camps can include elites. Island travel and distant hand-ins increase the cost of a forgotten pickup.

Dungeon and group connections

Dire Maul is a later dungeon complex in central Feralas. Its wings and quests need their own preparation rather than a casual level-40 detour.

Move on when your remaining objectives require a group, are too difficult, or involve more travel than progress. Return later for unfinished stories.
