01

Understand what the camp is for

Blizzard describes Camping as an expansion of the Cooking Fire. A Basic Campfire takes up to three crafted objects; each player contributes one, with a shared one-hour cooldown for their objects. Sit for a short rest to receive available camp buffs. Check current tooltips before placing anything. Think of the camp as a planned pause in your journey, then decide what you need from it. It does not need to become a separate project every time you stop.

02

Choose the place before choosing the decoration

Look for somewhere that gives the group room to gather without standing in the path of enemies. Watch patrols, nearby spawns and the route you intend to take afterward. A campsite should not be treated as automatic protection from danger. If the location becomes unsafe, move rather than defending a poor decision because somebody has already contributed an object. The best meeting place is one everyone can reach and leave without turning the break into an unexpected fight.

03

Ask what the people present can contribute

Before placing an object, compare the available contributions and the purpose of the stop. One player may need a particular service, while another wants a buff their class cannot already supply. Discuss the plan briefly so a limited opportunity is not consumed by a duplicate. Check the actual camp capacity rather than assuming that a large-looking gathering can accept everything. Our camp-combination article explains how to choose among competing benefits.

04

Use the rest to prepare the next leg

Recover, check that everyone is present and inspect your supplies before moving on. If the available camp objects provide a service you need, use it while the party is already stopped. Do not assume every camp includes a vendor, repairs or every crafting workspace. State the next destination clearly and ask whether anyone needs a moment longer. A quick useful pause should reduce confusion, not generate another round of people leaving at different times.

05

Learn one contribution before collecting them all

Start with a profession object you can currently learn and a use you understand. Confirm its requirements in-game rather than buying a stockpile from an old guide. Our profession teamwork guide covers planning a shared camp, while crafting during levelling keeps preparation affordable. Once you know why an object helps your character or friends, expanding the camp becomes a practical choice instead of another collection you feel obliged to complete.
