01

Choose the pair for its everyday rhythm

Herbalism and Alchemy are a familiar gathering-and-production partnership: collect herbs, check your learned recipes and turn appropriate ingredients into consumables. That rhythm can suit a character who likes outdoor travel and practical preparation. The pair does not make you self-sufficient in every ingredient or guarantee a profitable market. Read current recipes for vendor components and other requirements. Start with a small supply goal rather than an ambition to cover every potion your account might ever use.

02

Plan a route around materials you can use

Before gathering, identify the herbs needed for one or two recipes you can currently make. Favor a safe loop near your questing area. Stop to check your skill and storage when you move into a new region, rather than assuming that everything you see will be gatherable. A node behind several dangerous enemies may be a poor use of the evening. Our quest-route guide helps combine nearby objectives without endlessly interrupting either activity.

03

Keep a working supply rather than a museum

Make enough of a useful consumable for the next planned activity and keep it on a reachable button. Read its effect and cooldown before relying on it in an emergency. Avoid filling several bag slots with tiny leftovers you no longer use. Keep the materials for your next known batch together and move excess stock to appropriate storage when convenient. Having the right item available matters more than owning many different items you forget to press.

04

Set fair expectations when supplying friends

Ask what a friend actually needs, check the ingredients and agree whether you are trading, sharing materials or giving a gift. Do not promise an unlimited supply because you enjoy gathering. A party can help distribute the preparation cost, especially when everyone uses consumables. If you want to sell extras, check current prices and fees yourself; a historical guide cannot tell you what your market needs today. Make a small test batch before buying a large stack of ingredients.

05

Connect the craft to the rest of your character

Review whether your supply plan still fits your level, role and available time. Another player’s recipe shopping list may target an activity you do not do. Our crafting routine keeps the project manageable. If the gathering appeals but production does not, you can still reconsider your long-term plan. Read class and profession pairings for alternatives and camp teamwork for ways to contribute alongside other crafts.
